What a month September’s been.  A barrage of hurricanes has rocked the U.S. southeast.  The race for the White House has heated up.  The third anniversary of the attacks on Washington and New York has come and gone.  As for the mundane, the NFL season has started and NASCAR’s first ever chase for the championship has kicked off.  For many, the school year has just begun.

With all that’s happened this last month, it’s hard to realize that it was the last “normal” month of the year.  October brings with it the traditional American holiday season.  First, Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas and New Year’s Day.  Hard to believe it’s that time of year already.

Here at C4L, we’re kicking off a celebration of the season with two articles by two exciting upcoming Christian writers about Halloween.  And we’re pleased to announce that Michel Archer has weathered the storms in southern Florida to return with two installments of her monthly creationism column.

You may have noticed a new banner.  We’ve had a few complaints about the look of the site so a few renovations may be in order.  Next month marks six months since the return of the ’zine.  Six incredible months in which a host of great writers have shared their talents with us through the site.  Stay tuned, there may just be a surprise for this special occasion.

With life about to get quite hectic for a while, we hope you find C4L to be a small slice of encouragement, information, and a break from the pressure cooker that the holidays all too often become.
