ARE YOU A NOVEL OR
NON-FICTION BOOK?

The book of 2nd Corinthians 3:2-3, the Bible says; you are our epistle [letter] written in our hearts, known and READ of ALL men. Forasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the Living GOD; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. Paul was speaking to the people of Corinth reminding them that they were a letter. A letter known and read by all men. They were not written with ink but with the Holy Spirit of the Living God. They must have been so clear, nice, interesting , well printed and quite colorful. But it seems they were not aware that they were a letter which was read daily by everyone.

Several times in the New testament epistles, the believers are admonished to behave themselves in good manner that the outsiders will see them and glorify God for their good deeds. Life is a blank book of many or few pages graciously given by God to be composed, typeset, edited and published by men. He Himself marks the writings all over 100%. And each one is to write excellently. The number of years each will live in the world is like the number of Chapters his book should contain. Remember that there are books which are called non- fictional and others are fictional. And in any library, there are books which are never read by anyone from January to January. They remain in the shelves throughout the year!

The problem with such books lies in the way they are written, typeset or printed. They were written in a way that cannot attract anyone. It arrests nobody’s attention. And bear in mind that the writer took a long time to write, edit, typeset and to print and notwithstanding all this cumbersome work, nobody is reading his work! If our work is not being admired, the problem is not in the admirers, it is in us, the writers. How have you written your life [book]? So interesting or so bad? How is your behavior, pleasant or unpleasant? And how are your deeds, good or wicked? What of your words, constructive or destructive? We should know to compose our lives [books] so well that people would like to read frequently.

CHAPTERS OF THE BOOK.

If you are aged 24, you are in chapter 24 of writing. And how sad it is if all that you have written have not pleased God, let alone people! You take long writing what no one dares to read! Better change and restart the work that is acceptable to God. When you multiply your age with 365 days, you will get the number of pages you have written. And when you multiply with 24hrs, you will get the number of all paragraphs. We have to check on ourselves brethren if we are writing a good or bad book. Each page [day] should be filled with interesting sentences of praiseworthy deeds and each chapter [year] we get should be punctuated with glorious accomplishments of God glorifying activities. Or else we shall live long lives [write long chaptered useless books]!

We as God’s people are non-fictional, inspirational, informative and educative books worthy of emulation. And those who have not accepted Jesus are fictional books containing time wasting stories which do not benefit anyone. The kind that remains in the shelve throughout the year. Such fictional books have a library called Hell while the non-fictional ones have a library called Heaven. Some students in school write long compositions [essay] but eventually get 5% all over 40%! The problem is not that the teacher is despising their work but they have written unasked for, a different thing and have used poor punctuations and ungrammatical language! Our books should have proper and correct punctuations of God pleasing deeds.

GUIDES TO BOOK WRITING.

There are also “best” selling books and “worst” selling books. The best selling books do not stay long in the bookshops. They are bought quickly because each one desires not only to read but to own. No matter how expensive they may be, people buy them still. The joy of owning them is nothing compared to the pain of high cost!

On the other hand, the worst books stay on the bookshop shelves for a long time without being bought. No matter how cheap they may be, people won’t buy them. It is futile to waste money buying them though they may be cheap.

Are you a best selling or a worst selling book? 2nd Peter 1:5-11 gives directions on each chapter’s heading. The first Chapter should be Faith, second is Virtue, third is Knowledge, fourth is Self-control, fifth is Patience, sixth is Godliness, seventh is Brotherly Kindness and the eight is LOVE.

The first chapter of each book should be Faith. Virtually everything in Christianity begins with Faith and Ends with LOVE. Without them, none shall please God, Hebrews 11:6 and I John 4:8. For you to be in the church, in salvation, you must write first chapter, Faith and end it with Love. Otherwise, you may take long, writing a useless book which will be burned eventually. Well written books will have a place in heaven and the poorly written end up in hell. Make sure that your book [life] contains all those given headings. Verse 8-10 says “for if these things be in you, and you abound, they make you that you shall neither be BARREN nor UNFRUITFUL in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus” . But he that LACKS these things is BLIND and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. WHEREFORE the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your CALLING and ELECTION sure: for IF you DO these things, you shall NEVER fall. Ask yourself if you are a fictional or non-fictional, best selling or worst selling book.
